actually, the best approach is arrows + angels + hobbit spam. The boss stops every time it wants to fire its weapon. That means for the price of a few hobbits, you can make it stop, allowing a continued barrage of arrows. The angels are only really necessary for blasting the mobs behind the boss. By continually spamming hobbits, the boss won't event make it to your base.

OK, you know what? I call BS.
I have everything fully upgraded.
I am producing Angels and Dragons. I literally cannot spend mana fast enough.
I have over a hundred units.
I have destroyed the castle.
All this, and I barely DENTED the final boss.
The boss with 250k hitpoints and who does 666 points of AOE damage.
You cheating, cheating bastard program.
I beat the final boss.
Hint: Wizards stand outside of the blast range to do their damage.
